Douglasville police to meet with residents about squatters

DOUGLASVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Douglsville police, along with the Douglasville Sheriffs Department, will meet with some of the city's neighborhood associations Tuesday night to discuss squatters.

Over the last few months, police have dealt with a number of instances where squatters have illegally taken over homes in the Douglasville area.

Douglasville detective Mac Abercrombie told CBS Atlanta News residents will learn how to spot squatters, who to call when they suspect squatters and why neighbors shouldn't confront those suspected of squatting.
