400 hopefuls line up at Chick-fil-A to score free food

DACULA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

More than 400 people showed up at the new Chick-fil-A in Dacula in hopes of scoring free meals for a year.

It was a part of the grand opening celebration scheduled to take place on Thursday morning.

The catch was, they couldn't line up more than 24 hours before the 6 a.m. opening.

Out of the 400 people that arrived, 100 people were chosen by raffle to stay until Thursday.

The first 100 adults in line by 6 a.m. on Thursday will each will receive 52 free Chick-fil-A meal certificates for a year.
