You can be a holiday hero to a troubled child

DOUGLASVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Youth Villages is reaching out the community to find 100 holiday heroes for children with emotional, behavioral or mental health issues.

There are several ways to be a Holiday Hero. You may fulfill a child's holiday wishes by requesting an individual child's wish list, or a hero could also make a donation of $75 to the Youth Villages Holiday Heroes fund.

Youth Villages asks that Holiday Heroes spend no more than $75 per child.

Holiday Heroes are invited to participate in the Holiday Heroes party on the Youth Villages-Inner Harbour Campus on Dec. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 4685 Dorsett Shoals Rd. in Douglasville.
