ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Seven years after moving to Georgia, SweetWater Brewery is rebuilding.
CBS Atlanta got a sneak peak at the progress on the new facility Monday.
The new brewery is located at 195 Ottley Drive, which is between Buckhead and Ansley Park, just north of I-85.
The brewery, which only sells its brews in Georgia and the five states that surround it, will now cover 114,000 sq. feet, compared to the 26,000 sq. ft. in the old facility. The additional space will allow brewers to produce 500,000 barrels of beer per year.
The first phase of construction is set to wrap up at the end of the year. Dates have not been set yet for the completion of phase two and three.
