ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Atlanta police detectives are working to determine what killed a man found dead in a southwest Atlanta creek bed.
Lt. Paul Guerrucci, Atlanta Homicide Commander, said the call to emergency dispatchers came in shortly before 11 p.m. Monday and a deceased man in his mid-40s was located.
Guerrucci said a cause and manner of death has not been determined. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Police plan canvass the area in hopes of identifying suspects or witnesses in the case.
The man's identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin, according to Guerrucci.
