Rebekka Schramm appears on Better Mornings Atlanta weekdays from 5 to 7 a.m. and 9 to 10 a.m.
She joined CBS Atlanta News in 2001. Rebekka's broadcasting career began at a young age. She was just 15 years old when she landed a "really cool" job at a radio station in her hometown of Eufaula, Alabama. She was the "commercial girl" writing, voicing and putting together radio spots for WULA. That's when the broadcasting bug bit her.
An Auburn University graduate, Rebekka accepted her first job as a videographer for WTVM-TV in Columbus, Georgia. In less than a year, she was promoted to reporter, covering a variety of topics including education.
After marrying her high school sweetheart, they moved to Norfolk, Virginia, where she was an anchor and reporter for WVEC-TV. She covered many Navy farewells and homecomings. As a Navy wife, those stories truly hit home for her. After her husband's completion of his military service, they moved to Atlanta to be closer to family.
She and her husband are now experiencing the joys of parenthood. Their son was born in 2004, and their daughter in 2006.
