Steve Kiggins joined CBS Atlanta News in 2006 as a photojournalist. He transitioned into the role of a hybrid photographer/reporter in early 2011 and found his voice as a storyteller.
Steve began his career in Tacoma, Washington where he worked at KBTC-TV. From there, Steve moved to Reno, Nevada where he began shooting video for KTVN-TV. In Reno, he covered many forest fires, including the crash of an AC-130 air-tanker.
Steve then moved to Greensboro, North Carolina to shoot news stories at WFMY-TV.
Steve's passion for photojournalism has been awarded by the Associated Press and the National Press Photography Association.
When he's not covering the news, Steve enjoys reading, writing, photography and playing with his two dogs at his home in Southeast Atlanta.
