Jocelyn Connell

Jocelyn Connell is an Emmy-award winning journalist who joined CBS Atlanta News in January 2010.

Jocelyn began her broadcasting career in Anniston, AL. At the early age of 16, she hosted her own news talk radio show.  After graduating from Jacksonville State University with a 4.0 GPA, Jocelyn joined WDSI in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as a reporter. She then went north to Lansing, Michigan in April 2004 reporting for WILX and WSYM, in addition to anchoring the WSYM weekend news.

In 2005, she moved to Saginaw, MI, where she anchored and reported for five years at the CBS Atlanta News sister station WNEM-TV. While in Saginaw, she received two Emmys – one for her work as an anchor and one for reporting.

In addition to being awarded an Emmy for reporting, she received a Michigan AP Broadcasters award. Jocelyn's enjoyed covering stories of national significance such as the state funeral of late President Gerald Ford and the capture of serial bomber Eric Robert Rudolph.

When she's not working, Jocelyn enjoys volunteering with The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, spending time with her rescued Italian Greyhound, playing the piano, and running.  If you have a story idea, she'd love to hear from you!
