Helen Neill

Helen Neill is the weekday news anchor for CBS Atlanta News at Noon, and is thrilled to be in her hometown .

Helen has been honored with an Emmy for anchoring, and recognized as Georgia TV Personality of the Year. She has also moderated several statewide political debates, and served as a panelist for the Atlanta Press Club.

A prior reporter, Helen’s assignments have taken her everywhere-from the Olympic training grounds in Lake Placid and the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, to the emotional world of foreign adoption in Russia.

Helen attended both Chamblee and Northside High Schools in Atlanta. Helen married a lawyer she met years ago while they were working as camp counselors in Dahlonega.

“I really love exploring in and around our neighborhood,” says Neill, resident of the historic Grant Park. She and her husband often walk to the nearby Turner Field to take in a Braves game. Helen also loves to read and visit her local bookstore and can be spotted checking out what’s new on the shelves.

Helen headed to the Midwest for her journalism education to attend the University of Missouri.

Helen has worked all over the country for television stations in Topeka, Kansas, Tucson, Arizona and Columbus, Ohio.
