Dodgers' Hudson Leaves Game With Knee Injury

POSTED: 12:18 am EDT July 10, 2009

(Sports Network) - Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Orlando Hudson left Thursday's 11-2 victory over the New York Mets after being hit on the left knee by a pitch.

Hudson limped off the field after Mets pitcher Brian Stokes drilled him on the knee with a first-pitch fastball in the top of the seventh inning. Hudson went 1-for-3 at the plate with a three-run double before exiting the tilt.

In 82 games this year, Hudson is batting .285 with 50 runs scored, 43 runs batted in, five home runs, and six stolen bases.

Juan Castro came on as a pinch-runner and remained in the game as the second baseman. Castro had a two-run single.
