Thrashers Sign D Salmela

Atlanta, GA -- (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers signed defenseman Anssi Salmela to a multi-year contract on Thursday. Per club policy, terms were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old posted one goal and five assists over 26 games with the Devils and Thrashers last season, his first in the NHL.
