Lesley Tanner joined CBS Atlanta News in April 2009 as a reporter/photographer. Lesley comes to Atlanta from CBS Atlanta’s sister station, WSHM, in Springfield, MA.

Lesley's time in Springfield gave her a chance to return to New England, where she attended college. A graduate of Boston University's College of Communication, Lesley enjoyed the chance to cover news in the region where she first took interest in the business.

Shortly after graduation, Lesley was the News Director at WBUP in Marquette, MI. She was responsible for reporting, producing and anchoring the station's two daily newscasts. Lesley embraced that experience and was given the opportunity to continue working in several areas of the newsroom, including shooting and editing her own stories.

A native of West Virginia, Lesley is excited for the chance to explore a new area of the U.S., especially after years in the snow covered regions of New England and the Upper Peninsula. In her free time Lesley enjoys reading, spending time with friends and soaking up the sun.
