Christopher King

Christopher King joined CBS Atlanta News as a general assignment reporter in January of 2007.

Before joining CBS Atlanta, Christopher worked at CNN and CBS Newspath as a freelance reporter.

At CNN, he covered the JonBenet Ramsey story in Boulder, Colorado; the Sago Mine disaster in West Virginia, and the Scooter Libby indictment in the nation’s capital.

Throughout his career, Christopher has reported on major events across the United States, including on-the-scene coverage of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Prior to CNN, Christopher was a reporter with WNBC-TV in New York, where his assignments included the Martha Stewart and Bernie Ebbers verdicts, along with the northeast blackout of 2003.

King was also a reporter with News 12 New Jersey, where he covered stories ranging from the anthrax scare of 2001 to racial profiling to political campaigns - including the state’s 2001 gubernatorial race and the 2002 battle for the Senate.

Christopher broke into television news as a producer with CBS Newspath. Prior to that, he worked as a print reporter and correspondent with the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Christopher is originally from New York City and is a graduate of New York University’s school of Journalism.
