Renee Starzyk

Renee Starzyk joined the CBS Atlanta News team in January 2004 as a reporter.

A native of Chicago, she received a degree in communications from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and a Masters degree from Syracuse University.

Her news career began in 1987 at WIXT-TV in Syracuse, New York. She then moved to Des Moines, Iowa to anchor the morning news at WOI-TV. Renee moved back to New York in 1996 to work at WOKR-TV in Rochester and four years later, in 2000, she took a reporter job at WXIA-TV, before moving to CBS Atlanta News.

Renee is committed to the community. She has spent numerous hours volunteering for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Society and the March of Dimes.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis. An avid runner, she has run the Peachtree Road race for the last several years. Renee lives in Fulton County with her three children, their Border Collie mix named Oreo and Black Lab mix named Domino.
