Watchdog Web Site Reveals State Rep. Has $22,381 In Liens For Unpaid Taxes

RIVERDALE, Ga. -- In February, House Speaker David Ralston revealed one house member had not filed their taxes with the Department of Revenue.CBS Atlanta News has learned elected official State Rep. Roberta Abdul-Salaam owes $22,381in unpaid taxes.The watchdog Web site Atlanta Unfiltered was the first to blow the whistle on Abdul-Salaam.According to Georgia Department of Revenue documents filed, Abdul-Salaam has not paid taxes since 2001.As a result of her outstanding tax bill, there are liens against her property.The grand total of more than $22,000 also includes unpaid taxes to the IRS.The entire article is available on Atlanta Unfiltered by clicking on the link below.http://www.atlantaunfiltered.com/2010/03/10/one-legislator-8-years-of-unpaid-taxes
