COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Two men are under arrest and charged in a kidnapping that launched a massive manhunt.Thirty-one year old Jair Cruz Garcia and 25 year old Jonathan Tapia Martinez are accused of kidnapping Christian Guevera. The 4-year-old Cobb County boy who was abducted from his home was found safe Thursday afternoon. He was found at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Madison Ridge apartment complex off Indian Trail Road in Norcross.Police said two masked men broke into Christian's home in Mableton, Ga., attacked his mother with a stun gun, then grabbed the 4-year-old boy from him from his mother.Authorities issued and Levi's Call and searched for seven hours. Police eventually found the little boy and the two men at an apartment complex in Gwinnett County.Police took Guevera to a local hospital to be checked out before being reunited with his mother.Late Thursday night, Guevera’s mother carried him into their home, covered in a blanket. It’s the same home where he had been kidnapped from more than 12 hours earlier.“When she came into the door it was just about hugs and kisses and praise and thank God,” said uncle Roberto Guevera. One of Guevera's other uncles tells CBS Atlanta one of the accused is the mother’s boyfriend. The uncle did not want to be identified.“I guess he was just trying to take advantage of her,” said the uncle. He said the motive for the kidnapping was money. Guevera's father passed away a year ago and left a life insurance policy. The uncle said the kidnappers called demanding a ransom.“They were asking for $100,000, then they went down, then they went up, and they called twice,” said the uncle.Police want answers about exactly happened to Guevera during the hours he was held captive.“Now we got our nephew, our kid back and that's all that matters to us,” said Roberto Guevera.Garcia and Martinez are under arrest and face a long list of charges, including kidnapping, false imprisonment, aggravated assault and attempted extortion. Authorities are also investigating the men for possible immigration violations.See pictures of the recovery and hospital trip here.
