ELLENWOOD, Ga. -- Lockdowns have been lifted at two DeKalb County schools. The schools, Cedar Grove High and Cedar Grove Elementary in Ellenwood went on lockdown at around 8:30 Friday morning, as police searched for two suspects in a nearby home invasion.According to detectives, a woman returned to her Deer Springs Drive home Friday morning. As she was pulling into the garage, two armed men approached her. They forced her inside and tried to tie her up.Police said a male victim was upstairs and heard a commotion. When he came downstairs, the armed men tried to tie him up, too. But for some reason, they were not successful at tying up either victim, police said. The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. One of them, according to detectives, was wearing a t-shirt with the word 'police' across the front.Within seconds of receiving the 911 call, authorities placed the schools on lockdown, meaning no one was able to enter the schools without permission from authorities.Wanquita Slayton was a bit rattled. She lives next door to the home invasion victims. "It's scary because nothing like this has ever happened around this neighborhood," Slayton said.
