Power has been restored in Loganville and Snellville after a gas leak near a power substation.

The gas line leak, which happened at about 9:30 a.m. on the 900 block of Athens Highway near Rosebud Road, also forced the evacuation of one business.

Gwinnett County firefighters said the leak was near a Walton EMC power substation. Due to the possibility of a spark, power was shut off at the substation, causing a power outage in the immediate area.

Atlanta Gas Light workers capped the leak around 12:30 p.m.
