ROME, Ga. -- The man police believe was responsible for a deadly shooting in Rome turned himself in to authorities early Tuesday evening.According to the Rome News-Tribune, the man was identified as Tim Spriggs.According to Rome police, the first shooting happened Tuesday afternoon near Old Dalton Road. One person was killed. No other details about the shooting were immediately released.Cpl. Greg Beck of Floyd County police told the News-Tribune that there were hostages involved, but they are all fine.Officers said Spriggs ran from the scene.A few minutes later, a second shooting happened near East Clinton Road. Rome police said at the time they believed Spriggs may be responsible for that shooting as well.
