VININGS, Ga. -- As night fell Wednesday, Joyce Prince and her son Ben were still sweeping mud from the yard of their Paces Ferry Drive home. For the second time in two months, the Chattahoochee River overflowed its banks, spilling water and mud onto Prince's property.Though not nearly as bad as the historic September floods, residents of several Vinings neighborhoods spent the day sweeping mud and water from their yards. But Joyce Prince got a pleasant surprise this time."This time, we had some unusual and fantastic help," Prince said.Prince said while they were out sweeping, a woman who would only say her name was Daphne and her two small children arrived out of nowhere with shovels and brooms in hand, offering to help."She said we're here to help," said Prince. "We want to do a neighborly thing. The kids worked for about an hour and a half, two hours, pushing and shoveling mud. She said she wanted to teach her children how to help others."Prince said she was stunned by their kindness. She said without their help, it would have taken at least two days to clean up her yard. Because they wouldn't give their last names, Prince had no way to say thank you, until now."Thank you very much. You are indeed an angel. We appreciate it," said Prince.
