Buford School To Close Friday Due To Illness

Students Have Symptoms Of Stomach Flu, School Says

BUFORD, Ga. -- Harmony Elementary School in Buford will close Friday because of illness, the school said Thursday in a letter sent to parents.

In the letter, school officials said the closing was based on a recommendation from health officials.

The school said several students have shown symptoms of gastroenteritis, which is normally known as stomach flu. The condition usually causes diarrhea and vomiting.
