Good Deeds: A Pink Ribbon For The Record Books

Students At Adairsville Middle School Create Human Pink Ribbon

Plenty of pink has been seen over metro Atlanta during October for breast cancer awareness month, but few displays have made an impact like the one at Adairsville Middle School.

Students and teachers at Adairsville middle school in Bartow County created a human pink ribbon they call it Pink Out 2009.

For the second year in a row the school has tried to break the world record of more than 3,000 people joined together to form a human pink ribbon.

The school didn't break the record this year but they were able to gather 1,500 people onto the football field.

In the weeks leading up to the event, the middle school and the elementary school raised about $1,300 for the Atlanta 2 Day Walk, which directly benefits local breast cancer organizations.
