Tenn. Earthquake Felt In Georgia

The National Weather Service and the US Geological Society detected an earthquake which reached 3.2 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake was located about 6 miles east of Ducktown, TN, about 7 miles north of McCaysville, GA and about 55 miles east of Chattanooga.

The epicenter is 90 miles from Atlanta.

Residents in North Georgia felt the tremor Saturday around 9:38 a.m

The tremor was also felt in the Elijay and Gilmer County area according to callers.

"I just wanted to tell you that the town of Blue Ridge, Ga. just had a earthquake," one viewer wrote CBS Atlanta News.

There were no reports of damage.
