Cobb County detectives are deciding whether or not to charge three teenage girls for robbing some younger kids at weekend fundraiser.

A 4th teen was arrested and charged.

17-year-old Chelsea Steele is a cheerleader at Sprayberry High School.

Steele and three others allegedly stole $147 at a poolside fundraiser.

What’s interesting is how police caught Steele.

The children who Steele allegedly stole from used detective skills to help make the arrest.

“I think all four should come back and say sorry,” said Sophie Green.

Sophie’s sister Sydney wanted to raise money for her dad's struggling business.

Caroline Pierce and Meghan Kobler joined the cause.

They raised the cash at the neighborhood pool not knowing predators were lurking.

Steele allegedly grabbed the cash.

That’s when the kids screamed out for their mothers.

An accomplice of Steele’s held the gate.

“She said ‘C’mon hurry up,’” said Patrick Kobler.

6-year-old Patrick heard the name Chelsea.

“She said her name out loud,” said Patrick.

The teens then drove off.

The kids called their teen babysitter who just happened to know a Chelsea Steele.

“And then she has a Facebook. Of course there's a way to track her down,” said Meghan.

Thanks to Facebook, police made the arrest. The kids want an apology and their money.

“I just want her to feel ashamed of herself for doing that,” said Sidney.

“I think that she should apologize to our faces,” said Meghan.

Steele was released on bond Wednesday night.
