WALESKA, Ga. -- One person was killed Wednesday morning in a fire at a condominium complex in Waleska, in Cherokee County.

The fire started at about 4 a.m. on Mountain View Court.

Investigators said the body of Whitney Luna, 28, was found in the rubble of one of the eight condos that were destroyed. Her husband, David Luna, 34, suffered second and third-degree burns and was airlifted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta.

A neighbor, Kathy Marcusson, suffered first and second-degree burns and was taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital.

Investigators are looking for the cause.
