CBS Atlanta News has learned that a Cartersville restaurant has been shut down by the health department after failing three straight inspections.

The Quality Inn restaurant on South Dixie Avenue in Cartersville failed a re-inspection again Wednesday with only 60 points and a U for unsatisfactory.

This marks the third time in as many weeks that the restaurant has failed a health inspection.

The Bartow County Health Department shut them down.

CBS Atlanta’s Adam Murphy first reported on problems at the Quality Inn Restaurant on April 25 on our exclusive restaurant report card segment.

At the time, inspectors found spoiled food in the restaurant and rat droppings in the storage area.

In fact, the health report said that rodents were chewing holes in packets of ketchup.

The Quality Inn Restaurant received their first re-inspection on April 29 and they only scored 41 points and a U.

On Wednesday’s inspection, inspectors found outdated food in the restaurant and food at the wrong temperature.

CBS Atlanta News is the only Atlanta television station to dish out restaurant scores every week.
