ATLANTA -- A landmark on the Atlanta skyline that was damaged during a tornado last year is finally getting a makeover.Officials at Atlanta's Westin Peachtree Plaza will replace each piece of glass on the exterior of the 73-story tower. The circular, reflective building is an icon of the Atlanta skyline. But it lost 81 custom-made window panes when a tornado rumbled through downtown in March 2008.The window openings have been covered with wood until now. Hotel general manager Ed Walls said the special window glass was no longer manufactured and even if it were, it no longer meets code. The project is expected to begin in June or July.
