Joshua Bedwell Charged With Rape, Child Molestation

DALTON, Ga. -- Whitfield County authorities charged a Tennessee man with the rape of a 15-year-old female relative.Sheriff's Capt. Rick Swiney said Joshua Franklin Bedwell, 26, of Cleveland, Tenn., was arrested Wednesday.Charges included statutory rape and multiple counts of aggravated child molestation. Swiney said the alleged assault occurred in January.Bedwell was being held at the Whitfield County Jail and was expected to make an initial court appearance Friday.Swiney did not say why it took several weeks to file charges against Bedwell.
