ATLANTA -- A large brush fire had a portion of Hwy. 74 in Fairburn shut down on Friday.The fire covered about 15 acres.Highway 74 northbound between Milem Rd. Plantation Rd. was closed.Some houses in a near-by subdivision have suffered some minor damage.Fairburn Fire Department was helped by units from Palmetto, Fayette County, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Coweta County and the Forestry Department.
