There has been emotional testimony this afternoon in the sentencing phase of the Brian Nichols trial.

Loved ones of the four victims told jurors how the 2005 murders changed their lives.

"I will never again hear the voice that fascinated me that said the sweet words, 'Honey, oh, love of my life, I'm home,' or 'Thank you for marrying me,'" said Judge Rowland Barnes’ widow, Claudia Barnes.

Claudia Barnes talked about the memorial service for her late husband.

"I asked for permission to go and hold hands with my loved one for the last time before he was cremated because we held hands constantly for 13 years," said Claudia Barnes.

The judge's daughter Kiley Barnes said nothing will ever ease her pain.

"He could make miracles happen. When I was 13, my dad was in a position to introduce me to a member of New Kids on the Block, which was my favorite singing group,” said Kiley Barnes.

The best friend and colleague of court reporter Julie Ann Brandau described the void in her life since the courthouse murders.

"I walk past her office today and just feel sick. It is still here but she isn't,” said Evelyn Parker.

Brandau's daughter told how she got married last month wearing her mother's veil.

"I felt nervous, excited and robbed. I was robbed of my mom,” said Christina Scholte Greenway.

Then, Candee Wilhelm, widow of murdered U.S. Customs Agent David Wilhelm took the stand.

"One little bit of comfort I have in all this tragedy is the knowledge that when he died, both he and I were sure for our love for each other,” said Candee Wilhelm.

In other Nichols case news, in two weeks, two people that were attending the Nichols' sentencing have been caught with a razor and a gun.

The person with the razor was Nichols' brother Mark Nichols. He is a barber and it isn't uncommon for him to have a razor on him.

Candee Wilhelm was caught with the gun. She made it past the first security checkpoint at the courthouse, but was stopped at the second. She does have a permit to carry a gun and she claims she forgot it was in there.

The officer who allowed a gun to slip by a court security checkpoint was fired.

The judge in the case also scolded the person who leaked the information about the breach.
