A Marietta man is being held in jail without bond in connection with what police called an alcohol-related fatal car crash Saturday.

Police identified the victim as Cuneyt Erturk, 36, of Hiram. He was turning left from Brookwood Drive onto southbound Austell Road Saturday morning when a Mazda RX-8 hit the driver's side of Erturk's gray Toyota Tercel.

Police identified the driver of the Mazda as William Paul Davis IV, 26, of Marietta. He was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to turn on his headlights.

He was being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
