Henry County police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who investigators said smashed his way into a store to steal lottery tickets.

The robbery happened Oct. 1 at the BP gas station on Highway 81 East in McDonough.

Surveillance video showed the man driving what appeared to be a white Ford Econoline van. According to police, the video then showed the man smashing the front glass door of the store with a wrench to get in.

Once inside, police said, the man stole dozens of lottery tickets. The man left behind the wrench he used to get in, police said.

Investigators said anyone who recognizes the man or has any information about the robbery is asked to call 770-288-8388.
