LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The three people who were killed in a head-on crash in Gwinnett County Sunday morning have been identified.Police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said the man driving the vehicle that caused the accident, Christopher Phillips, 23, of Sugar Hill, was going above the speed limit.Spellman said Phillips tried to negotiate a curve on Collins Hill Road and struck a BMW, killing Phillips and the BMW driver, Elmore Dudley III, 42, of Lawrenceville. A female passenger in the Camaro, Brittany Hopkins, 23, of Sugar Hill, was also killed.A female passenger in the BMW was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Spellman did not release her name.Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
