TV Makeover Home In Foreclosure

Every week the ABC reality show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" gives families the chance of a lifetime to have their home completely redone and paid for by somebody else.

Now, one Georgia family featured on the show is watching those dreams crumble after facing foreclosure.

The home is in the city of Morrow and was one of the biggest the show ever built.

Back in 2006, the house at 5489 Ahyoka Drive got national attention when it was transformed into a 5,500-square-foot luxury house. The show donated its time and materials.

CBS-46 has obtained documents showing that in two years, two loans have been taken out against it. One was in the amount of $125,000, the other for $450,000. The latter loan is in default and the home will now be sold in auction on Aug. 12.

A woman who identified herself as the homeowner claimed the home is not for sale, but the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Web site showed the home is up for sale and provided a virtual tour.
