Waffle House Worker Tries To Help Dying Man

Police: Manager Gave Dying Man CPR

A man who was shot died in a Waffle House parking lot in Decatur early Wednesday morning, police said.

Police were called to the restaurant on Northlake Parkway and LaVista Road at about 2:30 a.m.

Investigators said a car with the injured man pulled up to the restaurant.

Police said the restaurant manager tried to revive the man with CPR, but the man died a few minutes later outside the car in the parking lot.

The man was shot somewhere else, according to investigators.

Police said they are looking for the shooter and are questioning a suspect in relation to this incident.

Investigators did not release the man's name.
