Police: Fake FBI Agent Used Props

A bond hearing has been scheduled for next week for the man investigators said posed as a FBI agent and possessed child pornography.

The hearing for Douglas Rhoades was scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Investigators released photos on Wednesday of Rhoades with and without glasses. They hope someone will recognize the pictures and provide information on any more possible victims.

Rhoades’ ex-wife became suspicious about his activities, so she tipped off police, who started investigating.

Investigators searched Rhoades' home and van, seizing dozens of computer discs they said contained sexually explicit photos of young girls.

The ex-wife also learned that Rhoades had never been a FBI agent.

Rhoades's ex-wife did not want to talk to CBS 46 News Wednesday night about turning him in.

Investigators said Rhoades claimed to work undercover in the cyber unit. CBS 46 obtained a copy of a fraudulent FBI I.D. with Rhoades’ picture on it. Prosecutors are using the I.D. as evidence.

Neighbors saw police gathering evidence at Rhoades’ house last week.

“You never know who lives across the street from you,” said neighbor Charles Bentfield.

Neighbors Lucia Cardona and Juan Castaneda worry about their son Aaron, who's about to turn 1. Like many people, Castaneda can't understand why someone would hurt a defenseless child.

“I'm glad they got him,” said Castaneda.
