ATLANTA -- A celebrity trainer was attacked while escorting a group of women outside of an Atlanta restaurant Wednesday night, police said.

Atlanta police said Darius Miller was walking with one of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin's daughters and four other women outside of the D'Jangos restaurant when a group of men approached them and attempted to video tape the women.

When Miller asked the photographers from 01 Entertainment to leave the women alone, the men began punching Miller -- leaving him severely injured and comatose, police said.

Hospital officials said Miller is in critical condition and is being housed in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Investigators said there have been no arrests made in connection with this attack.
