Police: Driver Shot During Attempted Carjacking

ATLANTA -- A driver was shot by a would-be carjacker Wednesday afternoon in southeast Atlanta when he refused to give up his car, police said.Atlanta police said the gunman jumped into the driver's car on Forrest Park Road and was met with a Taser gun.The gunman shot the driver five times after he was shocked by the Taser gun, investigators said.Police said the gunman ran away after the driver crashed into a tree.The injured driver was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was not released.
