ATLANTA -- Genarlow Wilson's attorney filed an emergency appeal Friday, trying to get another bond hearing set.

Wilson is in prison for having consensual oral sex with a 15-year-old when he was 17.

Earlier this week, a judge canceled the hearing scheduled for next week, citing a state law that prohibits appeal bonds for people convicted of Wilson's crime.

But attorney B.J. Bernstein appealed that decision, and filed an emergency appeal motion Friday with the state Court of Appeals.

The court could rule by Monday.
