CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. -- Clarke County crime activity for Thursday July 29 2010.
ARRESTSMichael Jewell, Jr, Greensboro, GA, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute at 2141 on July 28 on Hickman Dr. (10-07-1889)
ARMED ROBBERYTracey Jones, Berlin St, stated that at 0059 July 29, as he pulled into a parking space, three black males approached his vehicle. As Jones exited his vehicle, one of the males asked him for a light. At that point one of the males hit Jones on the head with a gun and demanded him to "give it up." The Suspects took money from Jones's pocket and left the scene.
BURGLARY
Resident on Bob Wages Rd, reported her residence entered between July 24 and 2330 July 28. Three containers of coins were missing.The residence on Helican Springs Rd, was entered between 1200 July 7 and 1200 July 14. DVDs and CDs were missing.
ENTERING AUTOZachary Stipe's unlocked vehicle was entered between midnight and 0900 July 28 on Epps Bridge Pkwy. A Semi-Automatic Pistol and Magazine Clips were missing.
THEFT BY TAKINGGeneral manager for Burger King, Hwy 29, reported a bank deposit from July 25 missing. A Suspect has been named.On July 28 at 1700, two black males entered Athens Aquarium on Old Epps Bridge Rd.The Suspects asked an employee about purchasing a fish. When the employee rang up the purchase, Suspect 1 asked Suspect 2 for $20. Suspect 2 could not find any money, so the employee went to place the fish back in the tank. The employee heard the cash register open and when he looked back the Suspects were reaching into the register and took out some money. The Suspects fled the scene.
