Sheriff’s deputies said the crash happened on the railroad crossing at the intersection of Roper Road and Rosedale Drive.

Deputies said the victim was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital. The victim’s name and condition were not immediately released.

A statement from Cpl. Brandon Gurley said several railroad crossings in and around Hiram were blocked because of the crash.

The Georgia State Patrol is handling the investigation.
