What Is CFIDS?

The portrait of an Atlanta resident is included in “The Faces of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,” (CFS) a traveling photo exhibit that is part of the first-ever national public awareness campaign about CFS sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the CFIDS Association of America.

"The Faces of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" will be displayed from Nov. 26 – Dec. 1 on the ground floor of the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library (1 Margaret Mitchell Square) in the Library Express area. This compelling exhibit features the portraits, shot by celebrity photographer George Lange, and stories of CFS patients, family members and health care professionals.

One of the photos in the exhibit is that of physicist and professor Wilmelmina Jenkins.
