CBS Atlanta Community Calendar Guidelines

CBS Atlanta’s Community Calendar program is intended to assist nonprofit organizations located in the metro Atlanta area and surrounding counties.

CBS Atlanta offers the Community Calendar to support local charitable efforts, with a primary focus on community events/activities for the attendance of the general public.

To be considered for the community calendar, an organization must:
  • Be a registered IRS 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The CBS Atlanta Community Calendar is not available to individuals or to fundraising efforts for the benefit of a single individual.
  • Be located in metro Atlanta and surrounding counties, where CBS Atlanta is broadcast.
  • Identify the event/activity to be included on the Community Calendar. Include the organization name, date of event/activity, cost (if applicable), the purpose of the event/activity, and contact information for the organization or event (name, phone number and email address).
  • Submit a request using the online form at www.cbsatlanta.com at least six weeks in advance of the event/activity.
Review Process
  • All written requests are reviewed weekly by the CBS Atlanta marketing department.
  • A response will be sent via email following receipt of the request if selected to be included in CBS Atlanta’s Community Calendar.
  • CBS Atlanta Community Calendar requests are evaluated based on the organization’s ability to meet CBS 46’s guidelines, with consideration of prior commitments made to organizations with a similar purpose.
  • In most cases, only one event per organization will be promoted on the CBS 46 Community in a calendar year.
  • The CBS Atlanta Community Calendar is not designed to promote political, religious, or labor/fraternal organizations; sporting leagues/clubs; schools; or individuals.
  • CBS Atlanta reserves the right to decline any request received, per the established guidelines and/or space availability.
