People in one Cobb County apartment complex may have a little relief from a water leak this Christmas.

People in the Highland Court Apartments in Marietta complained about the water backing up.

All of the affected apartments are in the same buildings, so the renters said they think the problem was with a plumbing line servicing their building.

It's a problem for many people with company during the holidays.

"Especially for my grandchildren, their bicycles and stuff for Christmas is getting messed up," said resident Gloria Adams. "They need to be sanitized now and they're brand new. Christmas presents we done had to throw away."

Late Sunday night, work crews came out to fix the leak. Residents are working to clean up the damage.
