Health & Fitness Expo:
All participants must pick-up their race packets at the Expo. Along with race number and race packet pick-up, the Publix Georgia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo features retailers, personal trainers, nutritionists and other health professionals. There will also be great bargains on running and fitness gear, free sampling and information on equipment and nutrition. The Expo focuses on the health, fitness and wellness of endurance athletes. In addition, there will be areas of interest including "The Georgia Experience" featuring attractions, products and services of Georgia.
Expo Location & Parking:
The Expo is located in Building A of the Georgia World Congress Center. We will be in Exhibit Hall A2.
The closest parking for Building A is the Red Deck. A coupon for $2 of parking in the Red Deck will be available closer to the event. Please check back for details and a link to the coupon.
We encourage all participants and visitors to take MARTA. The closest MARTA Station is the Dome/GWCC/Phillips/CNN Station. Visit www.itsmarta.com for more information on station locations and schedules.

Detailed Course Description:
The Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon is a true showcase of historic Atlanta, beautiful Decatur and all of the neighborhoods in between. The staging area for the Start and Finish is in Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The Start corrals are on Marietta Street adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park. Participants run downtown through Georgia State University, by the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, over the Jackson Street bridge with a spectacular skyline view, and into the Martin Luther King Jr Historic District by the house where Dr. King was born.
The course continues through the Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park neighborhoods, through eclectic Little 5 Points, on Freedom Parkway by The Carter Center, and through the Poncey-Highland neighborhood where the Half Marathon splits from the Marathon course.
Marathon participants continue through the Candler Park neighborhood, on historic Ponce de Leon, under the MARTA tracks onto College Avenue, through the Agnes Scott College campus, by quaint Decatur Square, on the Emory University campus, through the Druid Hills neighborhood past the house featured in the movie Driving Miss Daisy. Marathon participants enter Piedmont Park through the Park Dr bridge and exit on 12th Street, run through the Midtown neighborhood on 12th St and Spring St, cross I-75/I-85 on the 5th St bridge, run through the Georgia Tech campus, and return to downtown via Marietta St to the Finish line where the party begins at Centennial Olympic Park.
After splitting with the Marathon, Half Marathon participants pass through the Virginia Highland neighborhood, run over the Park Dr bridge into Piedmont Park and exit on 10th Street, run through the Midtown neighborhood on 10th St and Juniper St, cross I-75/I-85 on the 5th St bridge, run through the Georgia Tech campus, and return to downtown via Marietta St to the Finish line to join the party at Centennial Olympic Park!
All participants must pick-up their race packet (race bib and shirt) at the Publix Georgia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo unless "Will Call for Packet Pick-Up" is selected during registration. There is no race day packet pick-up unless Will Call is selected and paid for.
Will Call for packet pick-up is available for an additional $30 fee. Will call packets will be available for pick-up on race day ONLY between 5:30 am - 7:00 am.
Luckie 5K Race:
Start and end with the full and half marathoners and capture the
magic of the weekend! The Luckie 5K will take place on Sunday, March 23,
2014 at Centennial Olympic Park. The 5K will provide participants with
an exciting course through downtown and start and finish at celebrated
Centennial Olympic Park. All 5K participants will recieve an official
race t-shirt, Publix bag and finisher medal.

- Participants may use headphones during the 5K. Participants who
wear headphones must remain aware of race officials, traffic and other
runners. Any participant who fails to follow directions from race

- In consideration for the safety of all participants, skateboards, bikes and animals are prohibited on the course.
