Motorists are advised to expect significant traffic delays around the intersection of North Point Parkway and Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta on Thursday and Friday. Construction crews working on behalf of the Georgia Department of Transportation will be closing one northbound and one southbound lane on North Point Parkway on May 23 and May 24 to perform work related to an intersection improvement project. The lane closures will be in effect from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Thursday and between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Friday. Motorists are strongly urged to avoid the intersection and choose alternate routes if possible. Alternative routes include the use of GA 400 or Westside Parkway for north / south commuters.
