Tracye Hutchins

Tracye Hutchins co-anchors Better Mornings Atlanta, which airs weekdays on CBS Atlanta from 5-7a.m.

Tracye joined CBS Atlanta from CBS affiliate KFMB in San Diego, CA where she covered San Diego County news and filled in at the anchor desk.

Tracye has traveled across the nation and reported on a many diverse stories - from hurricanes in Fort Myers, FL to 120 degree heat waves in Phoenix, AZ and factory closings in Terre Haute, IN to soy bean crops in Kirksville, MO.

Atlanta is familiar territory to Tracye. In 2004, she lived in Stockbridge while she worked at CNN Headline News as a weekend, health and entertainment anchor. She was live on the air during major breaking news stories including the break up of the Columbia space shuttle over Texas and the capture of ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. Prior to CNN, Tracye worked for the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, AZ as a news reporter. Tracye has also worked as a reporter in Phoenix for KPNX, a weekend anchor for WBBH and WZVN in Fort Myers, WTHI in Terra Haute, and KTVO in Kirksville.

Tracye was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV and graduated with a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Northern Arizona University. She recently bought a home in Northwest Atlanta where she will reside with her nine year old daughter.

In her spare time, Tracye enjoys building and decorating miniature doll houses with her daughter. Together, they have been working on one for a couple of years. Tracye says it's the cheapest way to build the perfect dream home and you can often catch her at the hobby shop purchasing tiny chairs, silverware and rugs.
